A contact list, when it pertains to business and your career, is a list of resources that can benefit you and your career. These could be people that you’ve previously used the services of, previous employers and colleagues, or even people you’ve only heard of through the grapevine. The advantage of keeping an up-to-date list of business contacts should be obvious to everyone; it can be a great way to ensure that you remain up-to-date on all of the latest industry news, as well as develop your business and career.

If you’ve not already started it, at this point you may be wondering whether or not it is time for you to start building up your list of contacts. It could be said that it is never to soon to start to do so, even including some of your peers and teachers from your time in education could have value, particularly if you end up working in the same field as them.
