Writing Out a CV

A CV is generally speaking what gets you in the door. Because of this, it is arguably one of the most important parts of a job application, and getting right is often the difference between a successful and unsuccessful application.

To write a good CV has to be done with the goal of getting your job application through to the next stage of the job application in mind. Some people say that in order to do this you should be trying to produce something that stands, and while I’ll agree with this, to a degree, it needs to stand out for the right reasons.

CV’s should be constructed in a way which clearly and concisely illustrates why you’re suited to the job; it should include your qualifications and experience, as well as a bit about what motivates you and what else you, your personality and work ethic can do to benefit the team and company.
