Choosing the Right School for your Children

Choosing the right school is about much more than just selecting the school that is closest to you. It is about finding somewhere that will be good for your children’s education, and for their general wellbeing. This is something that they will not get from every single school, as all children are different and will have different requirements from a school.

Look at what the school offers for subjects. This is more important at A Level, as GCSE subjects tend to be fairly standard. ‘A’ Level courses will differ and you should choose a school where they can study the combinations of subjects they want.

Look at the school’s performance and pay attention to its Ofsted reports. This shows how well the school ranks in official government reports, which is a good indication of the levels of education provided. Look for a well-performing school with a good balance of subjects, and this is a good basis for education.
